Donald Trump champions Tom Brady as the difference in his presidential campaign

Donald Trump trumpets his relationship with Tom Brady in campaign stops in Massachusetts and New Hampshire

NANTUCKET, MASS. – Donald Trump has an ace up his sleeve for the upcoming presidential election against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“I have Tom Brady,” said Trump. “And she doesn’t. We have Tom Brady on our side.”

While Brady is rarely speaking to the media, Trump spoke on Saturday to groups in Nantucket, Cape Cod, and New Hampshire. Trump discussed mostly politics, but he was asked about whether Brady is being treated unfairly by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

“Tom is doing just great,” said Trump. “I love Tom Brady.”

The first presidential debate is scheduled for Monday, September 26, which directly opposes a Monday Night Football game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. Count Trump among those who believe the debate should be moved to another night.

“They shouldn’t have a debate opposite a big football game,” said Trump. “The NFL is very unhappy.”

In addition to discussing Brady, Trump was also asked about current United States president Barack Obama.

“He’s one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had,” said Trump. “I think he’s a disgrace. How about when he flies to Hawaii on Air Force One and then he comes back and he talks about global warming?”

Trump was also questioned about his relationship with the press.

“The press is extremely nasty and unfair,” said Trump. “It’s beyond belief. But that only makes me want to fight harder.”
