BREAKING: Trae Young's Final Injury Status For Hawks-Trail Blazers Game

Trae Young has been ruled out for Monday's game.

On Monday evening, the Atlanta Hawks will be in Oregon to face off with Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

However, they will be without their best player Trae Young, who has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Via The Hawks: "An @emoryhealthcare injury report for tonight’s game at Portland:

Trae Young (right ankle soreness): Out"

The superstar point guard leads the team in points and assists, as he is averaging an outstanding 27.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 9.9 assists per contest in 45 games.

Right now, the Hawks are 25-25 in 50 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and 12-14 in the 26 games they have played on the road away from State Farm Arena.

Young has led the Hawks to the NBA Playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and they made the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021 (they lost in the first round to the Miami Heat in 2022).

This will be the first time the Hawks have faced off with the Trail Blazers this season.

The Trail Blazers are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 23-26 record in 49 games.

They are 4-6 in their last ten games and 13-11 in the 24 games they have hosted at home in Oregon.

The west has been close, so they are only two games out of the sixth seed.

Last season, they dealt with injuries and missed the NBA Playoffs.
