Damian Lillard's Final Injury Status For Bulls-Trail Blazers Game

Damian Lillard has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Portland Trail Blazers are hosting the Chicago Bulls in Oregon.

For the game, they will be without their best player, as Damian Lillard has been ruled out due to a calf injury.

Underdog NBA: "Damian Lillard (calf) ruled out Friday."

The All-Star point guard is in the middle of an outstanding season with averages of 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest.

He is also shooting an efficient 46.3% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range.

Despite his stellar play, the Trail Blazers will likely miss the NBA Playoffs for the second consecutive season.

They are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 32-40 record in 72 games.

Over the last ten games, the Trail Blazers have gone 3-7, and they are 17-18 in the 35 games they have hosted on their home floor in Oregon.

Lillard has spent his entire career with the franchise but has only made the Western Conference Finals one time (2019 against the Golden State Warriors).

As for the Bulls, they are coming off a season where they made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2017.

However, they have had a disappointing year and are just 34-38 in 72 games, which has them as the tenth seed (the final play-in tournament spot) in the Eastern Conference.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games but just 14-21 in the 35 games they have played on the road away from the United Center in Chicago.
