Jimmy Butler's Injury Status For Heat-Wizards Game

Jimmy Butler has been ruled out for Friday's game.

On Friday night, the Miami Heat will be on the road to face off with the Washington Wizards in Washington, D.C.

For the game, they will be without their best player, as Jimmy Butler has been ruled out due to a hand injury.

Underdog NBA: "Jimmy Butler (hand) listed out Friday."

The six-time NBA All-Star is having another fantastic season with averages of 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals per contest in 64 games.

He is also shooting 53.9% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range.

The Heat are on the second night of a back-to-back after defeating Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers 129-101 in Pennsylvania on Thursday.

Butler played 29 minutes and had 24 points, three rebounds and six assists.

With the victory, the Heat improved to 43-37 in 80 games, which has them as the seventh seed (one of the four play-in tournament spots) in the Eastern Conference.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak.

That said, the Heat are not a good team on the road, going just 17-23 in the 40 games they have played outside of Miami.

As for the Wizards, they are tied with the Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic for the 11th seed in the east and have a 34-36 record in 80 games.

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak and 18-21 in the 39 games they have hosted on their home floor in Washington, D.C.
