UPDATE: Joel Embiid's Injury Status For Mavs-76ers Game

Joel Embiid is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

UPDATE: Joel Embiid will play, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

On Wednesday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Dallas Mavericks in Pennsylvania.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as Joel Embiid is on the injury report listed as questionable.

He missed Monday's 116-111 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Colorado, so this could be Embiid's second straight game out of the lineup.

Underdog NBA: "Joel Embiid (calf) listed questionable for Wednesday."

The former Kansas star is in the middle of another outstanding season and has a chance to be the 2023 MVP.

He is averaging an incredible 33.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest in 61 games while shooting 54.5% from the field.

In addition to his sensational play, the 76ers have been among the best teams in the league.

They are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 49-26 record in 75 games.

Over the last ten games, the 76ers have gone 6-4, but they are also in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

At home, they have been very good, with a 26-11 record in 37 games hosted in Philadelphia.

As for the Mavs, they are tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

They have a 37-39 record in 76 games and are 3-7 in their last ten.

On the road, the Mavs have struggled, going just 15-23 in the 38 games they have played away from Dallas.

Last season, the 76ers lost in the second round of the NBA Playoffs, while the Mavs made the Western Conference Finals.
