VIDEO: LeBron James Appeared To Get Injured During NBA All-Star Game On This Play

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was ruled out at halftime of the 2023 NBA All-Star Game with a right hand contusion.

Nobody ever wants to see an injury in the NBA, especially during the All-Star Game.

However, this is the case with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, as he was ruled out at halftime after suffering a right hand contusion in the first half of Sunday's All-Star Game.

James, 38, was making his 19th All-Star appearance of his career, tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most All-Star appearances all-time.

While LeBron has not given an update on the extent of his injury or when it happened, many are speculating that the injury occurred while James was attempting to block a layup attempt by Toronto Raptors big man Pascal Siakam.

It appears that James' right pinky got caught on the rim and bent awkwardly, yet there were no signs that LeBron was in pain or that he had dislocated his finger.

Not returning to the second half due to what has been deemed a "right hand contusion," is seems like James' injury is more of a finger issue than that of his entire hand.

The Los Angeles Lakers have not issued an update on their stars status and all that has been said at this time is that LeBron James will not play in the second half of Sunday's All-Star Game.

Recently becoming the NBA's all-time leading scorer, James did come out at halftime for a ceremony put on by the league honoring him, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone, who rank first, second and third, respectively, on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

James finishes his 19th All-Star Game with 13 points, four assists and one rebound in 14 minutes of play.

It is unknown if LeBron will address the media and give an update on his injury following the game.
