LeBron James Refutes Reports Of When He May Return From Foot Injury

Following reports of his potential return before the end of the regular season on Wednesday, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James refuted these reports on social media.

On Wednesday, multiple reports surfaced regarding LeBron James' potential return before the end of the regular season for the Los Angeles Lakers

While James has been progressing and healing from his right foot tendon injury suffered on February 26, the Lakers have not given any further updates than the one they gave on March 2, stating that LeBron would not be re-evaluated for approximately three weeks.

Earlier reports suggested that the Lakers star could be ready to return for the final few games of the regular season and that the team is aiming for his potential return during their final three-game homestand, but LeBron James has since refuted these claims on Twitter.

LeBron James: "There wasn't an evaluation today and there hasn't been any target date for my return. I'm just working around the clock, every day (3x a day) to give myself to best chance of coming back full strength whenever that is. God bless y'all sources. I speak for myself!"

LeBron James could be ready to return for the final few games of the regular season, but at this time, it does not appear as if the Lakers have a firm target date on when the league's all-time leading scorer will return.

As James put it, he is doing his best every day to make sure he can return at full-strength, which is why Los Angeles will not be rushing him back.

Currently 36-37 on the season, the Lakers find themselves in the Play-In Tournament region of the standings with little to no room for error.

Wednesday night's victory of the Phoenix Suns proved to be a big win for the Lakers, but one loss could unravel things for them given how volatile the Western Conference standings are.

At this point, winning games is all that matters for the Lakers and while LeBron James is not on the floor, they have found ways to succeed without him.

Of course though, Los Angeles will need James healthy and on the court if they are to make some noise in both the Play-In Tournament and possibly the playoffs as well, especially since they will likely be playing one of the best teams in the conference should they hold onto their current position.
