The Heat lost Game 1 on Thursday (also in Denver) by a score of 104-93.

They came out slow and trailed by 17 points after the first two quarters.

That said, the Nuggets are also one of the best teams on their home floor, going 34-7 in Denver during the regular season and 9-0 during the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The Heat have had a sensational run through the postseason, beating the Milwaukee Bucks (first seed), New York Knicks (fifth seed) and Boston Celtics (second seed).

They are also just the second 8th seed ever to reach the NBA Finals.

This season, the Heat have gone 0-3 against the Nuggets (counting their two regular season games).

The Nuggets are the first seed in the Western Conference and have defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves (eighth seed), Phoenix Suns (fourth seed) and Los Angeles Lakers (seventh seed).

Following Game 2, the teams will head to Miami for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday night.
