The Timberwolves come into the day as the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 40-40 record in 80 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games and 19-21 in the 40 games they have played on the road away from the Target Center.

This will be their final road game of the 2022-23 regular season, and the Timberwolves will play their last game on Sunday (at home) against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Currently, they are only 1.5 games back of the Pelicans, who are the eighth seed.

Last year, the Timberwolves made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season.

They beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the play-in tournament and lost to the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round (in six games).

As for the Spurs, they are the 14th seed in the west with a 21-59 record in 80 games.

Over the last ten games, they are 3-7, and they are 14-26 in the 40 games they have hosted on their home floor in San Antonio.

The Spurs are coming off a season where they lost in the first game of the play-in tournament, but they will not make the playoffs (or play-in tournament) this year.
