Tyler Herro's Injury Status For Heat-Nuggets Game 1

Tyler Herro has been ruled out for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

On Thursday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Colorado to face off with Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Their surprising run through the Eastern Conference has been historic, as they are only the second eighth seed ever to make the Finals.

Even more impressive, they have been playing without 2022 6th Man of The Year Tyler Herro, who has been out with a broken hand (he got injured in the first game of the Playoffs).

For Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the former Kentucky star has been ruled out, so the Heat will remain without one of their best players.

That said, Herro could return soon as Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and the NBA on TNT recently reported a significant update

Via Haynes on May 29: "Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (hand fracture) is ramping up workouts and is expected to make his return at some point during NBA Finals with Game 3 being the likely target, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport."

Herro is coming off another impressive regular season with averages of 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range.

He is in his fourth season in the NBA and has helped lead the Heat to the Playoffs in all four years.

Through the first three rounds, the Heat have defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (first seed), New York Knicks (fifth seed) and Boston Celtics (second seed).
