Significant Andrew Wiggins Update Reported Before Spurs-Warriors Game

On Friday, Jason Dumas reported an update about Andrew Wiggins.

On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors will host the San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

However, they will remain without Andrew Wiggins, who has been out due to personal reasons since the middle of February.

Before Friday's showdown with the Spurs, Jason Dumas reported an intriguing update on Wiggins.

Dumas Tweeted: "I’ve been told that Andrew Wiggins is back in the Bay Area. He had spent most of the recent weeks out of town."

Wiggins had been in the middle of a fantastic season with averages of 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 37 games.

He is also shooting a tremendous 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.

Last year, Wiggins was a big reason why the Warriors were able to win their fourth NBA Championship in eight seasons.

The former Kansas star started in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game (the first of his career).

Right now, the Warriors are the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot) in the Western Conference with a 40-37 record in 77 games.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and a sensational 31-8 in the 39 games they have hosted on their home floor at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Wiggins was the first pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and spent the first five and a half seasons of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before being traded to the Warriors during the middle of the 2019 season.
