On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Orlando Magic in California.

During the game, eight-time All-Star Anthony Davis can make NBA history.

The former Kentucky star is currently 134th on the all-time scoring list with 15,563 points.

He is only 17 away from passing both Rashard Lewis (15,579) and Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore (15,579) to move to 132nd on the list.

Davis is averaging 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest in 45 games (while shooting 56.2% from the field).

Out of those 45 games, he has only scored less than 17 points seven times, so Davis will more than likely pass both Gilmore and Lewis on Sunday.

The 30-year-old is one of the best-scoring big men to ever play in the NBA and has a career average of 24.0 points per contest in 649 regular season games.

He continues to move up the list quickly and has a chance to finish as one of the top 50 scorers in history.

As for the Lakers, they are 34-37 in 71 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

They are a half-game back of the three-way tie for the eighth seed.

Currently, the Lakers are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 5-5 in their last ten games.

At home, they are 18-17 in the 35 games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California.

Davis is in his fourth season with the organization and helped them win the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.
