Patrick Beverley's Bold Quote About His Time With The Lakers

Patrick Beverley met with the media after the Chicago Bulls beat the Los Angeles Lakers.

On Sunday afternoon, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 118-108 on the road in California.

Patrick Beverly was playing against the Lakers for the first time since he was traded last month.

He finished the day with ten points, four rebounds, five assists and one steal in 23 minutes of playing time.

Following the big win, he commented on his time with the Lakers (h/t HoopsHype).

Via Greg Beacham of The Associated Press: "Patrick Beverley, asked if Chicago is the perfect fit for him: "Yeah. If I'm a spoon, Billy (Donovan) is using me as a spoon. The Lakers, you know, I was a spoon and they used me as a fork.""

According to StatMuse, Beverley has gone 10-5 in the 15 games he has played with the Bulls.

Meanwhile, the Lakers were just 21-24 in the 45 games he appeared in for the franchise.

With the victory over the Lakers, the Bulls improved to 36-38 in 74 games, which has them as the tenth seed (the final play-in tournament spot) in the Eastern Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 in their last ten games.

Beverley has played in 60 games this season and has averages of 6.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest while shooting 40.1% from the field.

On Wednesday night, the Bulls and Lakers will face off once again, but this time the matchup will be at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The Bulls are 20-17 in 37 games at home.
