Chicago Bulls Release Former NBA All-Star

The Chicago Bulls have released point guard Goran Dragic.

Last year, the Chicago Bulls made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2017.

However, they have been a disappointment this season and are currently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 28-33 record in 61 games.

On Tuesday afternoon, the team announced that they have waived 2018 NBA All-Star Goran Dragic.

Via The Bulls: "Roster Update: We have waived Goran Dragic."

The 36-year-old had been in his first season with the Bulls.

Over 51 games, he averaged 6.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest.

He also shot 42.5% from the field and 35.2% from the three-point range.

Dragic is in his 15th season in the NBA, and while he is no longer the player that he was five years ago, he could be a solid addition to another team.

The Bulls were the sixth franchise he has played for, as he's also had stints with the Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat.

He has averaged 5.1 assists per contest (or more) in six different seasons and at least 16.2 points per contest in five seasons.

Back in 2008, Dragic was the 45th pick in the NBA Draft, and his career averages are 13.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest in 939 regular season games (while shooting 45.9% from the field and 36.1% from the three-point range).

In addition, he has appeared in 60 NBA Playoff games (starting in 37) and has averages of 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest.
