On Tuesday evening, the South Bay Lakers (G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers) lost 132-115 to the Oklahoma City Blue.

Rookie Max Christie played 32 minutes and put up 12 points, six rebounds and one assist.

The Lakers will play their next game on Wednesday night when they host the Phoenix Suns in California.

For the game, they will likely have Christie available because, according to the G League's transaction page, he has been recalled to the NBA roster.

In addition, the former Michigan State star is not on the injury report for the matchup with the Suns.

Christie was the 35th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and has played in 38 games this season with averages of 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest on 41.9% shooting from the field.

He has also appeared in 12 G League games and is averaging 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest.

Right now, the Lakers are 35-37 in 72 games, which has them tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and 19-17 in the 36 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles, California.

The Lakers are a half-game back of the Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves for the final two play-in tournament spots.

Therefore, every game the rest of the way is critical for their place in the standings.

As for the Suns, they are the fourth seed in the west with a 38-33 record in 71 games.
