Here's What LeBron James Said After Lakers-Suns Game On Friday

Following Friday night's victory over the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James said he was surprised the team finished with a winning record.

Defeating the Phoenix Suns 121-107 on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers hopes of landing the 5-seed or 6-seed in the Western Conference and still very much alive heading into the final game of the regular season on Sunday.

The Lakers are now 42-39 on the season, clinching a wining record after beginning the season 2-10 and looking like an organization that could miss the postseason for the second consecutive season.

While they could still end up in the Play-In Tournament and miss the playoffs altogether, the Lakers will be in a play-in game at the very least.

Following Friday's game against the Suns, Lakers superstar LeBron James opened up about the struggles his team has had this season and where Los Angeles ended up.

"I was just telling AD, I was like, 'Man, can you believe that we going to finish this season above .500 after everything that's gone on this season,'" James told reporters, via Melissa Rohlin. "We've turned this thing around!"

It is quite remarkable to look at where the Lakers were at the start of the season to where they are now.

Then again, they went out and made a lot of changes to their roster at the trade deadline in hopes of turning things around!

The additions of D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Rui Hachimura and Malik Beasley have given the Lakers added depth at virtually every position and finally, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are healthy.

To be 42-39 heading into the final game of the season is a big accomplishment for the Lakers and even if they have to earn a playoff spot via the Play-In Tournament, they are still one of the more dangerous teams in the Western Conference right now.

Los Angeles has now won 17 of their last 25 games following their win over the Suns and since the start of March, the Lakers are tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns for the third-most wins in the entire league.

The Lakers are peaking at the perfect time and as long as they stay healthy, they will be a headache for any team they matchup against in the postseason.
