Los Angeles Lakers Make A Roster Move Ahead Of Friday Night's Game

Ahead of their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers recalled rookie guard Max Christie from the NBA G League.

Set to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers have a big game ahead of them.

The Lakers are currently tied with the Thunder at 36-37 this season, making Friday's game a huge battle in the Western Conference. The winner of this game will potentially take over the 8-seed in the conference, while the other will fall outside of the Play-In Tournament region of the standings with limited games remaining.

Recently assigning him to the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League on Thursday night, the Lakers recalled rookie guard Max Christie on Friday afternoon ahead of their game against Oklahoma City.

Whether or not Christie will actually play in this game is an unknown, but he gives them an extra player on their bench should they need him, especially with D'Angelo Russell's status being unknown

This season, Christie has played in a total of 38 games for Los Angeles, averaging 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game while shooting 41.9 percent from three-point range.

Going back-and-forth between the NBA and G League this season, Max Christie has been working on his game any chances he gets and has been seen multiple times getting advice from LeBron James and others on the Lakers' bench during games.

Christie recently played in the South Bay Lakers game against the Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday, recording 12 points and 6 rebounds in 32 minutes of play.

A win on Friday night against the Thunder would be huge for the Lakers as they continue to push for a playoff/Play-In Tournament spot. After this game, the Lakers will only have eight games remaining on their schedule, meaning that there is little room for error the rest of the way.
