According to TMZ, Kyrie Irving was playing football this past weekend in New Jersey.

The article from TMZ can be read here, and their Tweet from TMZ Sports can be seen embedded below.

The video from TMZ can also be seen in a Tweet embedded below from @_Talking_NBA.

Irving is currently not eligible to play in home games at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, because of the New York City mandate.

The Nets have also come and said that while he is eligible to be a part-time player (play road games but not home games), they will not let him play for them until he can be a full participant (see Tweet below from The Athletic's Shams Charania).

Irving went on Instagram live to explain his situation last week, and a clip of that can be seen in a Tweet that is embedded below from NBA Central.

The Nets will play their first game of the regular season on Tuesday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin against the Bucks.

The game with the Bucks is also the first game of the entire 2021-22 NBA regular season.
