Lonzo Ball is off to a great start on his new team.

The Chicago Bulls beat the Detroit Pistons 94-88 on Wednesday evening in Detroit to start the new season off 1-0.

The pass-first point guard had his first assist as a member of the Bulls in style when he threw half-court lob to Patrick Williams.

Williams caught the pass in the air and had a layup at the rim.

A clip of the flashy pass can be seen in a tweet that is embedded below from @_Talkin_NBA.

Ball began his career with the Los Angeles Lakers after being taken with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

He had two solid seasons in the same city that he also played his college basketball in, and then was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the trade package that landed Anthony Davis on the Lakers.

After spending the last two seasons in New Orleans, he's in his first season with the Bulls.

In his debut he had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.
