What Is The Warriors Record Without Andrew Wiggins This Season?

The Golden State Warriors have played the last 17 games without Andrew Wiggins.

In 2022, the Golden State Warriors won their fourth title in the previous eight seasons.

A big part of their first championship since 2018 was the play of Andrew Wiggins.

The former Kansas star had been acquired during the 2019 season from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He is in the middle of his fourth season playing for the franchise but has missed each of the last 17 games due to personal reasons

Wiggins had been averaging a very productive 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 37 games.

The 28-year-old is also shooting a tremendous 47.3% from the field and 39.6% from the three-point range.

While the Warriors are the defending NBA Champions, they have shown weaknesses this season and are only 38-36 in 74 games (9-29 on the road).

They are the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot) in the Western Conference but only 2.0 games ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz (who are tied for the 11th seed).

According to StatMuse, the Warriors are 19-18 in the 37 games they have played without Wiggins this season, but they are also 19-18 when he has been on the floor.

That said, the NBA Playoffs pose a much different challenge than the regular season, and if they are without Wiggins, the Warriors will be at a considerable disadvantage due to his excellent defense and shooting ability.

The Warriors have eight games left in the season and will play their next game on Friday night they host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
