Jary Franco, Mexico-based singer behind the chart-topping single, "De 0 a 100 Checo Perez," has blasted two-time F1 champion Max Verstappen. Franco, who is a huge fan of Sergio Perez, has made it clear that he only supports Red Bull Racing because of the Mexican driver.

Franco's hit single has garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube, over a million listens on Spotify, and is currently topping the Mexican streaming charts. During a recent interview with Marca, Franco slammed Verstappen for his lack of camaraderie, saying:

"This guy [Verstappen] doesn't know what camaraderie is."

The singer went on to say that he no longer supports Verstappen and hinted at the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix where Perez and Verstappen were involved in a heated exchange on Red Bull's team radio. During the race, Verstappen was supposed to let his teammate pass for sixth place but didn't. Perez was outraged, saying that the events "show who he [Verstappen] really is." Franco and other fans have certainly not forgotten about it.

When asked what he would say to Perez if they were to meet again, Franco didn't hold back. "I'd say go f*** yourself to Verstappen!" he exclaimed. Despite his harsh words, Franco expressed his admiration for Perez and called him one of Mexico's greatest athletes ever.

Franco believes that Perez's reputation would be even greater if Verstappen had done more to help his teammate.

"For me, he is already at least in the top 5. What he achieved last season was historic. He could have been second if Verstappen had helped us."

The lyrics of Franco's hit single, "De 0 a 100 Checo Perez," talk about how success can be fleeting and how one can end up feeling alone at the end of the day. The song has been censored for television and radio broadcasts.

During the interview, Franco explained that there are many similarities between the careers of a singer and an athlete like Perez, where they can go from being the centre of attention to feeling alone in the end.

Mexican fans are known for being some of the most passionate supporters in all sports, and Franco is no exception. He hopes that Perez will continue to represent Mexico in an incredible way around the world and would love to see him take first place and "wipe the floor with Verstappen."
