We have freshly updated Dynasty Football Rankings as we approach the 2020 Fantasy Football season! Remember, these are based on perceived trade value, meaning the rankings are primarily based on what it would take to move the player.
You will notice I'm higher on Jonathan Taylor than most in the industry. As you'll see below, there are currently only nine players in the NFL I would target higher than Taylor. The rookie running back for the Indianapolis Colts will have an opportunity to showcase his potential starting Week 1 on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars who allowed more points to running backs than any team in the league in 2019. Most people think a timeshare is in the works for this season with fourth-year running back Marlon Mack, but I don't think it will take the fans very long to see there is a big reason why Taylor was selected with the 41st overall pick in this year's NFL draft.
Taylor is 5-10 and 226 lbs, (shorter and heavier than Mack) and ran a 4.39 40 at the combine. According to PFF, Taylor forced the most missed tackles of any B1G running back (75, next highest was J.K. Dobbins 52). He recorded a whopping 1,909 yards with over twenty touchdowns (21) but also was used as a pass-catcher with 26 receptions for 252 yards and another five scores. He is my clear No. 1 rookie in this class and it should show right away as he gets to face the second-easiest schedule against running backs in 2020. Make sure you read the recent feature by All Colts Editor Phillip B. Wilson to find out where he was recently drafted in the Fantasy Football World Championships.
Dynasty leagues are, without a doubt, the fastest growing segment in all of Fantasy sports. The concept is actually quite simple. Draft your startup team, compete all year and your entire team the following year. You add to your team in the off-season through an annual ROOKIE and free agent draft every year, which occurs immediately following the NFL Draft.
I’m in over 10 high stakes dynasty leagues and every day I update the rankings pretty extensively with a lot of new movers to give you the most up to date information possible. Remember, these are based on perceived trade value therefore the rankings are primarily based on what it would take for me to move the player. I heavily weigh AGE in rankings (closer to a 4 year window) If you only use a 2-3 year window, you’ll likely be stuck with players who under perform or show signs of age that you can’t trade for fair value. My goal is for you to get the best years from a player and trade them while their value is still high before the decline when the secret is out.
