Steelers backup QB Mason Rudolph played very well in Roethlisberger’s absence. Roethlisberger exited Week 2 after just throwing for 75 passing yards, and was clearly seen wincing in pain due to an elbow injury. While Rudolph may be Big Ben’s heir apparent, he's got a tough rough ahead of him, especially if James Conner is also hurt.
The Saints are in big trouble with QB Drew Brees out for the next six weeks. Backup Teddy Bridgewater looked awful and his presence hurts the Fantasy value of WR Michael Thomas, TE Jared Cook, and perhaps even Alvin Kamara.
The Steelers' playoff hopes are virtually over but if Brees returns in the timetable expected, and Bridgewater can go 3-3, the Saints' can still represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, albeit their chances are much slimmer than they were before the loss of the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
