Fantasy Football: Week 13 FAAB / Blind Bidding Guide

Using this Week 13 FAAB / Blind Bidding Guide, Senior Fantasy Football Expert Adam Ronis deciphers how to spend your FAAB budget.

These recommendations are based on a league using a $1,000 budget. Bid based on your league history as some leagues may be aggressive, while others might not spend as much.

LAMAR JACKSON – BALTIMORE RAVENS– Bid needed to win:$175-$200

Jackson is still available in 58 percent of Yahoo! Leagues and the rushing yards give him a high floor. Joe Flacco could return this week, but it appears Jackson should start. After rushing for 117 yards on 27 carries in Week 11, Jackson had 11 carries for 71 yards with a touchdown and passed for 178 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

CASE KEENUM – DENVER BRONCOS– Bid needed to win:$50-$75

If you're looking to stream a quarterback this week, Keenum is an option. Keenum hasn't been great, but the matchup against the Bengals one of the best. The Bengals have allowed at least three touchdown passes to four of the last five quarterbacks they have faced, and the one they didn't was against Lamar Jackson in Week 11 when he barely passed the ball. The Bengals have allowed 25 passing touchdowns.

Others to consider: Marcus Mariota, TEN – $45, Josh Allen, BUF – $35

Running Backs

For 14-16 man rosters

JOSH ADAMS – PHILADELPHIA EAGLES – Bid needed to win: $300-$350

This is the final chance to add Adams in some leagues. Coach Doug Pederson said Adams would get more carries going forward and he did with 22 carries for 84 yards with a touchdown. He is averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

JUSTIN JACKSON – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS – Bid needed to win: $200-$250

Melvin Gordon has a Grade 2 MCL sprain and is out for a few weeks. Austin Ekeler will get most of the touches and is the top add of the week if he's available, but he's owned in most leagues. When Gordon missed Week 17, Ekeler played 42 of 44 snaps. Jackson will see some touches and is an add in deeper formats. After Gordon left Week 12, Jackson played 13 snaps and rushed for 57 yards on seven carries. He's athletic and can make defenders miss.

CARLOS HYDE – JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS – Bid needed to win: $200-$250

Hyde is a one-week fill-in and handcuff for Leonard Fournette owners. Fournette has been suspended for Week 13 and Hyde will share the backfield with T.J. Yeldon, who will see most of the passing downs. Hyde had ten carries for 33 yards and played 16 snaps with Fournette getting ejected in the third quarter, while Yeldon played 24 snaps and had three carries for 16 yards and caught two passes for 17 yards. Yeldon saw more snaps with the Jaguars playing from behind. Keep in mind the Jaguars offensive line has been hit hard by injuries.

NYHEIM HINES – INDIANAPOLIS COLTS – Bid needed to win: $200-$250

The bid will depend on need and the status of Marlon Mack, who left Week 12 with a concussion. There's a chance he sits in Week 13. Hines has played well in the games Mack has missed this season, averaging seven receptions and 16.45 points in PPR formats. Hines had nine carries for 28 yards and caught two passes for 22 yards against the Dolphins in Week 12 and played 26 snaps. Jordan Wilkins played eight snaps and didn't get a carry and caught three passes for 32 yards.

THEO RIDDICK – DETROIT LIONS– Bid needed to win: $175-$200

Riddick's role in the passing game has been solidified. He's taking advantage of a receiving corps short on depth, and Marvin Jones was placed on injured reserve. Riddick has at least seven targets in four straight games and has at least eight points in PPR formats in that span.

REX BURKHEAD – NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Burkhead has been activated from the injured reserve already been practicing for weeks. He might not have a big role, but if Sony Michel goes down, Burkhead becomes a big factor.

JORDAN WILKINS – INDIANAPOLIS COLTS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Wilkins is an add if Marlon Mack is out with a concussion. Nyheim Hines, as mentioned above, has performed well in Mack's absence and is better in PPR. Wilkins will get some touches and can be rostered in deep formats.

SPENCER WARE – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Final reminder to handcuff running backs for the playoff run.

MALCOLM BROWN – LOS ANGELES RAMS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Todd Gurley owners need to get Brown if they haven't already.

JAYLEN SAMUELS– PITTSBURGH STEELERS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Samuels has tight end eligibility in Yahoo! Leagues and is the handcuff for James Conner.

Others to consider: Ty Montgomery, BAL – $45, Jacquizz Rodgers, TB – $45, D'Onta Foreman, HOU – $40 Marcus Murphy, BUF – $30, Chase Edmonds, ARI – $30, Wayne Gallman, NYG – $30, Rod Smith, DAL – $30, Cameron Artis-Payne, CAR – $30

Wide Receivers

For 14-16 man rosters

JOSH REYNOLDS – LOS ANGELES RAMS – Bid needed to win: $150-$200

Reynolds could still be available with the Rams are coming off a bye. The Rams won't score 54 points regularly, but Reynolds had six catches for 80 yards with a touchdown on eight targets and narrowly missed scoring a second touchdown, but his second foot landed out of bounds against the Chiefs in Week 11. The Rams run a lot of three-wide sets, and Reynolds played 98 percent of the snaps against the Chiefs.

ADAM HUMPHRIES – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS – Bid needed to win: $150-$200

Humphries remains relevant in an offense with a lot of targets. He has at least nine points in four of the last five games in PPR formats. He has 40 targets in the previous six games and has scored four times over the previous three games. If DeSean Jackson misses time, it only helps Humphries.

JOSH DOCTSON – WASHINGTON REDSKINS – Bid needed to win: $150-$200

Doctson hasn't lived up to the lofty expectations many had for him coming out of TCU. Colt McCoy has a preference for throwing to Doctson. When McCoy replaced Alex Smith in Week 11, he targeted Doctson five times. Against the Cowboys in Week 12, Doctson had ten targets and caught six passes for 66 yards. Doctson has at least nine points in PPR formats in four of the last five games and 17 targets the last two games. Doctson gets a great matchup against an Eagles secondary that is decimated by injuries.

CURTIS SAMUEL– CAROLINA PANTHERS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Samuel is a playmaker, and the Panthers have been getting him the ball. In Week 12 against the Seahawks, Samuel played a season-high in snaps with Devin Funchess out with a back injury. Samuel played 54 snaps, but only had two targets, one week after getting seven targets while playing 16 snaps. Samuel had two catches for 17 yards with a touchdown and had a 25-yard run. Samuel has double-digit points in PPR formats in three of the last four games and can be considered a flex play in deeper formats.

BRUCE ELLINGTON – DETROIT LIONS – Bid needed to win: $50-$75

Ellington is in play for deep PPR formats. Marvin Jones is out for the season, and Ellington will see targets. In the two weeks without Jones, Ellington has 16 targets. He had six catches for 52 yards against the Panthers and six catches for 28 yards against the Bears last week.

DANTE PETTIS– SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS – Bid needed to win: $125-$150

Pettis played a season-high 58 snaps in Week 12 against the Buccaneers with Pierre Garcon out with an injury and Marquise Goodwin away from the team for personal reasons. If they're out again or even one is out, Pettis should see a big role again. Pettis caught four passes for 77 yards with a touchdown on seven targets in a great matchup against the Buccaneers. Pettis has 13 targets the last two games.

TREY QUINN– WASHINGTON REDSKINS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Jamison Crowder could return this week, and that would hurt Quinn. If Crowder is out, Quinn has value in PPR formats. Quinn had five catches for 26 yards with a touchdown on six targets last week against the Cowboys.

MARCELL ATEMAN – OAKLAND RAIDERS – Bid needed to win: $50-$75

Ateman is getting playing time and played 47 snaps against the Ravens. Ateman had ten targets and caught three passes for 16 yards. He played 65 snaps and caught four passes for 50 yards on five targets in Week 11. The Raiders will be throwing often against the Chiefs this week.

Others to consider: Equanimeous St. Brown, GB – $50, Chris Conley, KC – $45, Michael Gallup, DAL – $45, Robert Foster, BUF – $45, Kendrick Bourne, SF – $40, Tajae Sharpe, TEN – $35

Tight Ends

For 14-16 man rosters

CAMERON BRATE – TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS– Bid needed to win: $75-$100

The addition of Brate will depend on the status of O.J. Howard, who left Sunday's game with an ankle injury. Brate has seen a diminished role in the offense, but if Howard misses time and Jameis Winston is the starting quarterback, it's good for Brate. Winston has a penchant for targeting Brate near the goal line, and the Buccaneers will be a team playing from behind and throwing often.

JONNU SMITH – TENNESSEE TITANS – Bid needed to win: $75-$100

Smith depends on the status of Marcus Mariota. Smith has 13 targets over the last three games and has scored double-digit points in PPR formats in three straight games.

CHRIS HERNDON – NEW YORK JETS – Bid needed to win: $50-$75

He has at least eight points in PPR formats in four of his last five games. In a game where the Jets offense was abysmal last week, he had three catches for 34 yards.

For 18-20 man rosters

GERALD EVERETT – LOS ANGELES RAMS – Bid needed to win: $50-$75

The Rams tight ends have been getting more involved in the last few games. Everett has at least seven points in PPR formats in three straight games and scored three times in the last two games. He had three catches for 49 yards with two touchdowns on four targets in Week 11.

DAN ARNOLD – NEW ORLEANS SAINTS – Bid needed to win: $25-$50

If you're hurting at tight end, Arnold is seeing more opportunity in a high-powered offense. He had six targets and caught four passes for 45 yards with a touchdown against the Falcons.

Others to consider: Tyler Higbee, LAR – $35, Matt LaCosse, DEN – $25, Rhett Ellison, NYG – $25, Nick Vannett, SEA – $25
