The Pittsburgh Steelers placed quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on reserve/injured list on Monday. The quarterback suffered an elbow injury on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks that will require surgery and end his season.

The injury thrusts second-year pro Mason Rudolph into the starting role for the remainder of the season. The Steelers currently sit at 0-2 and are facing a steep uphill battle to make the playoffs.
