Cardinals' Kliff Kingsbury not surprised to see Daniel Jones playing well

It's been an up-and-down first month in the NFL for New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, but it's been a bit more up than down.

While Jones has struggled in recent weeks against some of the league's elite defenses, he's shown consistent growth and toughness, which was a staple of his play at Duke University.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who coached at Texas Tech from 2013-2018 and heavily scouted Jones prior to the 2019 NFL Draft, is not the least bit surprised by the quarterback's ascension

Giants' Dexter Lawrence proving his post-Draft critics wrong

The New York Giants were lambasted for their ‘mismanagement' of the first round of the NFL Draft. They were heavily criticized for taking Duke quarterback Daniel Jones No. 6 overall and Clemson defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence at No. 17. Then, they traded up to select cornerback Deandre Baker of Georgia at No. 30.

Jones has been hot and cold but is on his way to proving he was worth the high selection, and Baker has calmed down after a rough start to his NFL career.

Lawrence seems to get more impressive every week. Many experts are now changing their tune about the 6-foot-4, 345-pounder, who many did not believe was worthy of the 17th overall selection in the draft

Enlisted the help of an NFL coach and broke down them all

Daniel Jones has 6 INTs in four starts. Would average out to 24 in a 16-game schedule. Too much. Wanted to see what was going on. Enlisted the help of an NFL coach and broke down them all. #Giants #DannyDimes es.pn/31erVQf

Behind Enemy Lines: 5 questions with Giants Wire for Week 6

Out of all the opponents that the New England Patriots have faced so far this season the New York Giants may feature the most talented roster. Unfortunately for the Giants, however, most of their top players are injured and wont be able to suit up for this week's Thursday Night Football contest at Gillette Stadium.

To learn more about New England's Week 6 opponent, Dan Benton, the managing editor of Giants Wire, spoke with us about quarterback Daniel Jones, who the Patriots will need to focus on, and more

NFL picks: New England Patriots will dominate New York Giants

Another Eli Manning vs. Tom Brady showdown won't happen, barring an injury to Giants starting QB Daniel Jones.

Patriots' Bill Belichick: There's never been a player like Saquon Barkley

During a Monday afternoon conference call with the New York media, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick offered praise for Giants quarterbacks Eli Manning and Daniel Jones, as well as running back Saquon Barkley.

"He's an outstanding player," Belichick said of Barkley. "We haven't faced him, and I hope we don't.

"He can do it all. He's got great power, speed, they use him well in the passing game. He's very hard, obviously, to tackle in the open field, he's hard to tackle anywhere. He's got good vision, good quickness, he can play in space, he's elusive, he's got power, he had 2,000 yards from scrimmage last year. That pretty much says it all right there.

Daniel Jones has started three games for the Giants.

Of those 12 quarters, Saquon Barkley has played with Jones for 27 offensive snaps.

I think it'll be rough sledding up front and a short-handed defense will come back to earth

Prediction time: Despite the Vikings' turmoil, that defense is nasty. If Daniel Jones plays well today, there will be no stopping the hype train. I think it'll be rough sledding up front and a short-handed defense will come back to earth. 23-13 Vikings.

Giants now 5.5-point home underdogs against Vikings

The Daniel Jones era began with back-to-back wins over the last two weeks. Following the New York Giants' win against their division rival Washington Redskins, Big Blue opened up as 4.5-point home underdogs for their week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Now, just days ahead of Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium, the line has moved and the Giants are now 5.5-point underdogs against the Vikings according to Bet MGM.

The over/under for the point total is set at 44.5 which is significant because prior to Week 4, Big Blue had given up at least 28 points in their first 3 games

Completely understand those still getting caught up in feelings about Eli, but the present and the future of the franchise is

The Giants' season isn't about what Eli Manning can or can't do anymore. It's about what Daniel Jones can and can't do. Completely understand those still getting caught up in feelings about Eli, but the present and the future of the franchise is about the rookie at the position.

Gotten emails from some claiming to be Giants fans salty about the coverage given to Daniel Jones and upset that I suggested

Gotten emails from some claiming to be Giants fans salty about the coverage given to Daniel Jones and upset that I suggested this team got its mojo back.

Certainly not saying this team is ready to contend, but I give them credit for being 2-2, which is where they needed to be.

Rams vs. Buccaneers: Final score prediction for Week 4

The Rams came into this season knowing the first three weeks would be tough. There was nothing easy about going to Carolina in Week 1, or facing the Saints and Browns the following two weeks.

The Rams came out of that daunting stretch as well as they could have, beginning the year 3-0. Now, they catch a break with the Buccaneers coming to town – a team that just blew a big lead to Daniel Jones and the Giants.

As 10.5-point favorites, Los Angeles should leave Week 4 with a perfect 4-0 record. That's not to say the Rams should take the Bucs lightly, but they're not nearly as tough of an opponent as L.A.'s first three foes

Obviously a long way to go, but who knows if Tate will ever play with Eli Manning in the regular season

Crazy thing is that, Tate's last game was the preseason finale, and the starting QB was Daniel Jones.

Madden slightly raised rating on Giants QB Daniel Jones

When EA Sports released their initial ratings for Madden 20, New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones got a bit of a surprise when he saw "63 overall" next to his name.

"I'd be interested to see how we get to 63," a disappointed Jones said in a reaction video.

Jones was the sixth-rated rookie quarterback in the league, even checking in behind Tyree Jackson, who is now a free agent looking for work.

"63? He can throw! I'm better than him [in the game]," a stunned Darius Slayton said at the time

Pat Shurmur: Giants thought 'very, very highly' of Dwayne Haskins

Leading up to the 2019 NFL Draft, the New York Giants had done a lot of work on Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who was proud to talk about his Big Blue fandom whenever given the opportunity.

After several scouting trips and workouts, it was widely believed the Giants would take Haskins at No. 6 overall.

Rather than taking Haskins, who saw his links to the Giants rapidly decrease in the week leading up to the draft, general manager Dave Gettleman called the name of Duke quarterback Daniel Jones in Round 1
