Todd Gurley News and Updates
Rams | Todd Gurley remains limited
Individual work on tap
Coach Sean McVay said Gurley (quadriceps) will take part in individual drills Wednesday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
After a week in which he didn't practice en route to his first absence of the season Sunday against the 49ers, Gurley will be giving himself a shot to return if he gets through Wednesday's session unscathed. Fellow running back Malcolm Brown is considered day-to-day with an ankle injury, so Gurley may return to a workhorse role if he eventually gets the all-clear for game action from the Rams' training staff.

Tending to quad injury
Gurley was held out of practice Wednesday due to a quadriceps injury, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Gurley's touch count has ranged from 12 to 19 through five games en route to 4.2 yards per carry, five rushing TDs and a 63.6 percent catch rate. With an injury in tow, his activity level will be one to monitor closely as the week goes on. Behind Gurley, Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson occupy the next two spots on the Rams' running back depth chart.

Gurley has 70 yards, scores twice in defeat
Todd Gurley rushed five times for 16 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Week 4 loss to the Bucs, adding seven catches for 54 yards on 11 targets.
Gurley scored from 13 yards out for the Rams' first score and then went in from five yards away later. He obviously did nothing else on his three other totes, but Gurley was heavily involved in the passing game on a day Jared Goff dropped back to pass 70 times. Gurley previously hadn't really been involved in the pass game this season, so it was a good notch in Gurley's belt for fantasy. This inexperienced Rams offensive line just isn't very good right now, putting Gurley in more of the RB2 range headed into Thursday night's date with the Seahawks.
The more plays we get, the better it is for everybody
McVay: "I think we've got to have more plays. Being efficient on those early downs and being able to sustain drives. The more plays we get, the better it is for everybody."
The Rams rank 9th in snap count at 197.
