Donovan Mitchell news - If he sits out again...

Favorite game: Wizards/Hawks - game has the highest game total, fastest pace and two of the worst defensive teams.

Wizards - Bradley Beal is having his best season averaging over 35 points a game and 53 fantasy points. Russell Westbrook put up six straight 50-plus fantasy performances to start the season, but has been limited as of late due to minutes restrictions. If this is lifted today, Westbrook becomes an excellent play. The Wizards get back a few more players tonight. Davis Bertans, Rui Hachimura and Moe Wagner. This limits some of the previous value plays. I have interest in Wagner with Thomas Bryant out. Hachimura is another player who will provide value.

Hawks Trae Young is back! Six straight 50-plus fantasy point performances. Over 20 shots in five of those six. This is a crush spot for Clint Capela. He's playing 30-plus minutes and averaging over 50 fantasy points over the last seven games. Cam Reddish is questionable but he is one of my favorite plays on the Hawks tonight if he goes. If Rajon Rondo sits out then you can look at Brandon Goodwin at only $3,000.

The Droppin' Dimes article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will have one player at each position with a full write-up, and a few value plays. These are my favorite options. You won't always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.

All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings, but plays can be used for all sites.

Projections are my own and based off my NBA model.

Trae Young - Atlanta Hawks ($9,100)

Young has been playing well as of late with six straight games at 50 plus fantasy points. Playing 37.7 minutes per game in that timeframe. He is averaging 1.38 fantasy points per minutes on the year. This is a an elite matchup for him tonight.

Also consider: Dejounte Murray, Luka Doncic torches the Jazz at low ownership. Mike Conley now that Mitchell is out.

VALUE: Darius Garland, Shake Milton

Seth Curry - Philadelphia 76ers ($4,400)

Curry has played close to 30 minutes a game since returning from COVID. Since coming back, he has not had a solid game yet. Tonight, that will change. The Sixers play against the Timberwolves who are ranked 29th in fantasy points allowed. This is a get right spot for Curry tonight. I have him projected for 28.8 fantasy points with a ceiling of 34.8.

Also consider: Bradley Beal, Malik Beasley-if Russell sits out.

VALUE: Tyrese Haliburton, Jeremy Lamb

DeMar DeRozan - San Antonio Spurs ($6,800)

DeRozan is coming in at a discounted price and gets a good matchup. This is the cheapest his price has been all year. Over the past six games, DeRozan has put up 37 or more fantasy points in four of those six. The matchup is ideal as the Nuggets have allowed the 9th most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards. They are not the same team defensively this year. I have DeRozan projected for 42.1 fantasy points with a ceiling of 53.3.

Also consider: Ben Simmons,  Cam Reddish

VALUE: Joe Ingles -no Mitchell. Elite spot.

Gordon Hayward - Charlotte Hornets ($7,000)

Hayward is averaging 38 minutes over the last five games. His Price is down to a low of $7,000 after one rough game. Prior to last game, he has put up 43 or more fantasy points in three straight games. Good spot to attack the Pacers is with small forwards as they rank 21st. He can be used at either the small or power forward spot. Bounce back spot tonight. I have him projected for 41.9 fantasy points with a ceiling of 52.8.

Also consider: Pascal Siakam, Julius Randle

VALUE: Marvin Bagley, James Johnson

Cody Zeller - Charlotte Hornets ($4,000)

It looks look they removed Zeller’s minutes restriction last game. He played 30 minutes and put up 37 fantasy points and a double/double. This is the same matchup tonight against the Pacers. The price is right if we are going to get 25-30 minutes. I have Zeller projected for 22.2 fantasy points with a ceiling of 28.2. I expect him to come closer to the ceiling.

Also consider: Rudy Gobert - 1.4 fantasy points per-minute on the season. No Mitchell tonight. Crush spot. Projection: 50.6 with ceiling of 60.6. Al Horford

VALUE: Moe Wagner
