KBO - Dongers Club - 6/23

I am splitting up the KBO and NPB articles because I want to keep them apart. It's just an organization thing to keep the thoughts on one league within an article and the other in a different one. Truthfully, because we have more history so far this year with KBO and the pricing really doesn't seem to change much on these guys that is the article that in most cases will be out first -- even though the start time is slightly later.

KBO News and Information

The Hanwha Eagles - still in last place - have released the worst hitter in the league among qualified players Jared Hoying. His price on DK by the way went up to $5,000 -- nice job DK! They have signed former Rockie and Indian Brandon Barnes and at some point we might see him in the KBO (not sure if he will have to wait a month like Addison Russel who signed w/ the Heroes last week).

No issues on the new series starting on Tuesday

Chris Flexen (Doosan Bears)

Aaron Brooks (Kia Tigers)

Chae Heung Choi (Samsung Lions)

Speaking of those Hanwha Eagles, they go on the road to Samsung who has started to play better of late. However, Chae Heung Choi hasn't been great in his last two starts before going on the DL due to a calf injury. He gave up 11 runs over two starts against Wyverns and Dinos, but the Eagles offense is just so bad that we can blindly assume almost any pitcher facing them should be considered to get you ~15 DraftKings points so long as they go deep enough into games which Choi should do.

Player to Fade

Drew Rucinski (NC Dinos)

He faces a team who strikes out more in the KT Wiz than any of the three guys I mentioned above -- however the Wiz are white hot right now and are hitting homers left and right going into a stadium which has been among the most beneficial for hitters this season. With plenty of other viable choices today I wouldn't take the risk which comes with Rucinski.

The Kiwoom Heroes will face Yun Sik Kim a young lefty who has pitched very little and in that time gotten roughed up quite a bit. He'll make his first start for the Twins tonight and it's a really dicey spot for him to expect a good outing against a solid hitting Kiwoom team. They're at the top of the list for teams to target on this slate.

The next spot I want to look at is the KT Wiz vs NC Dinos game which I mentioned above in reference to a Rucinski fade. Both teams are great offensively and this is the top ballpark right now to look at for offense. Both Despaigne and Rucinski have shown to be able to pitch decent and deep into games but neither should come away with a clean result on this game. Eui Ji Yang (Vertigo) is back from the DL and should be lower owned than he has been all season. Nice buy low spot for him.

Chad Bell will once again take the mound for Hanwha and it continues to not be good for him when he has to do that. Which is a shame because that's kind of his only job. Anyways, Samsung as I mentioned is playing well of late and their lineup has been a big reason why.

Lastly the Doosan Bears project to be a fairly chalky team today, but they're just always a difficult team in my mind to stack because of the position eligibility, however Joo Hwan Choi remains criminally underpriced at $2400 despite carrying this team over the past week with 17 PPG. On the season he isn't hitting as well as teammate Jose Miguel Fernandez, but he has 1 more HR and only 3 fewer RBI despite a $2500 price difference.
