Kendall Graveman - Seattle Mariners
Graveman sat out last year recovering from Tommy John surgery and the former Athletic is back with a new team this year the Seattle Mariners.
This year he is throwing some heat adding a 4-seam fast ball topping out at 97 mph, an increase of about 5 mph on his previous speed. His main pitch is the Sinker which he throws over 50% of the time. This pitch gives him a 55% ground ball rate. Also, the Astros have not hit the sinker well in the past. Over 90 at bats Graveman has held the current lineup to a .250 average with only 1 HR. He should be able use his current arsenal with the added 97 heat to keep them in check tonight. I can see him going 6+ innings with 6 Ks and a run or two.
Great value on both sites. Should see him coming in at under 5% ownership against the always popular Houston Astros.
