Saturday, August 31st

Hard to believe that August is done and with that will come rosters expanding starting tomorrow for MLB teams and we'll likely see not only new names in certain spots but an increase in variance when it comes to bullpens.

Tonight's slate features 9 games and no weather issues.

Stephen Strasburg ... Easily the top play on the board, Strasburg should get through 7 innings tonight against the Marlins without much damage but requires you to get creative with your hitting if you want to fit him in.

Dallas Keuchel ... It's between Keuchel and Ray. If you wanna be cute go Ray, but for me, Keuchel is the safe route vs the White Sox tonight.

Dylan Bundy ... Picking on the Royals should be up there with picking on the Marlins and Tigers. Yes, there will be blips, but in the end Bundy won't exit this game early and get you negative (well, lets hope not).

CHEAP PUNT

Jorge Lopez ... Lopez isn't good as I have detailed my feelings onhim many times and he doesn't offer much in the way of upside tonight, but he does give you potentially 4-5 innings against the Orioles -- a team he pitched well against earlier this month in limited action -- and would be a cheap SP2 punt tonight if you go full Coors bats.

DK Combinations

  1. Strasburg & Lopez
  2. Keuchel & Bundy

FD Rankings

  1. Keuchel

STACK OF THE NIGHT

Atlanta Braves - Albies, Swanson, Freeman, Joyce, Ortega

Atlanta will pop off tonight on Reynaldo Lopez, coming off a near no hitter before he got sick last Sunday but going into an extremely tough park against a loaded lineup.

OTHER TEAMS TO TARGET

Pirates / Rockies

The Coors runs fest with these two teams isn't likely to slow down with Musgrove and Melville on the mound. Happy Trevor Saturday Story night and uh, that 4 HR game combined from Marte/Bell is tonight or tomorrow.

Nationals

They'll be under the radar, but would be a nice Coors pivot with the Boston/Anaheim game.

SNEAKY STACK OF THE NIGHT

Red Sox & Angels

More than a sneaky individual stack this is an overall sneaky game. Very warm in LA for this spot and two teams not pitching very well right now. Boston has actually had some nice games offensively on this road trip so I would lean their side slightly but wouldn't overlook Trout obviously. I hear he is good at the ole Baseball thing. One of Andrelton Simmons and Xander Bogaerts would be must plays.
