Ten games in the NHL on Tuesday, great tournament night!

Lightning/Sabres ... This looks like one of the better games of the night on paper. The Sabres come in with Risto back into the mix giving them a huge boost and we know the upside that Eichel and Kane always give them. The Lightning need no explination, but if you want to roll here go with the Point-Palat-Hedman type stack for saving money. Personally I am not high on this game tonight (crazy, I know)....

Islanders ... The Law Firm! The Islanders are back home tonight against the Canucks who continue to play higher scoring games over the past month and are on an extended east coast trip. This is a great spot for the law firm of Tavares, Bailey and Lee to shine tonight and score multiple times.

Golden Knights ... Dallas comes in having resorted back to a poor defensive team with 6 of their recent 7 games going over the 3 goal amount. Tonight I expect the Knights to welcome them rudely in after Dallas has had four days off and maybe a little too much time to hang out in Vegas. Look at the top line of Karlsson-Marchessault-Smith to do the work.

Rangers ... I would trust them more in cash tonight honestly. I don't see the Ranger stack going off and scoring 5+ goals, but they're in a great spot to produce some solid value. Zibanejad-Kreider-Buchenevich should avoid the Barkov line as much as possible and the Panthers played last night as well and have struggled defensively and on the power play of late.

Flames ... The red hot Flames (heh, sorry) are back home and should continue to dominate against Toronto. Monahan and Gaudreau have been unreal and Ferland is drawing the benefits from these two being red hot. I want to get a defensive player from the Flames in my stack today and so I'm going to go to my trusted sneaky option of TJ Brodie

  • Steven Stamkos & Nikita Kucherov & Victor Hedman (Lightning) - I'm not high on them today.
  • Jack Eichel & Evander Kane (Sabres)
  • Connor McDavid & Oscar Klefbom (Oilers)
  • Ryan Johanssen & Filip Forsberg (Predators)
  • Auston Matthews (Leafs)
  • Jonathan Toews (Blackhawks)

TOP DEFENSEMAN -- Important to get solid production from defense. Ranked in order of preference for tonight.

  1. Roman Josi
  2. Brent Burns
  3. Nick Leddy
  4. Victor Hedman
  5. Rasmus Ristolainen
  6. Seth Jones
  7. Shea Theodore - Value
  8. Kevin Shattenkirk

Henrik Lundqvist ... King Henry and the Rangers have played better lately and Lundqvist has only allowed 5 goals in his last 4 games. Tonight they get the tired and banged up Panthers on home ice. Florida plays fast and gets a ton of shots, but on a B2B when they won the night before this seems like a perfect spot for the Rangers to grab an easy win.

Joonas Korpisalo ... Korpisalo is getting a rare home start tonight since Bobrovsky was in net last night against the Habs. Carolina is a tough team to attack but Columbus usually plays solid defensively at home. For his price savings you can get some pretty good stacks in tonight with him and this is my value play of the day.

Sneaky Tournament Pick

Frederick Andersen ... I mentioned above that the Flames have been red hot, but Andersen is rested and he's facing 40+ shots a game. That volume plus his ability to steal a game makes him a nice tournament upside play. I would correlate him with Matthews and possibly another Leafs tonight to go for the win correlation, but anytime a goalie is likely to see 40+ shots I have to consider them.

LINE LOCK OF THE NIGHT: Tavares, Bailey and Lee (Islanders)

FAVORITE ONE OFF STUD WINGER: Filip Forsberg (Predators)

FAVORITE DEFENSEMAN: Roman Josi (Predators)
