Scouting NHL DFS: Mon, 3/26

Monday, March 26th - Nine games tonight

Teams on a B2B - None

Panthers ... Barkov, Dadonov, Bjugstad, Yandle

The Panthers roll into New York to take on the Isles so they're the chalk tonight (as everyone facing the Isles usually is) and the top line should draw a ton of good opportunities to put a bunch of good scoring chances on the Isles netminder. With Bjugstad's recent price bump you'll likely find it easier to only get 2-3 of these total guys in your lineup. Make sure Barkov is one of them.

Hurricanes ... Aho, Teravainen, Zykov

The hot man for the canes the other night was Phil Di Guiseppe w/ Jeff Skinner, but I am going right back to Aho, Teravainen and Zykov tonight. Zykov is dirt cheap still as he should be but offers a ton of upside at his price. This is a home and away re-match from their game on Saturday and I expect Aho to get it going tonight.

Maple Leafs ... Matthews, Nylander, Hyman

The Auston-Willie show is back and rolling along with their usual goal per game production. Matthews missed the game last time these teams met, but back on home ice and looking good lately he's my preferred play here. The Kadri-Marner-Marleau option is not a bad pivot as well.

Isla .... just kidding [But yeah, I'll have a lineup]

Montreal Canadiens ... Drouin-Gallagher-Byron

  1. Barkov & Dadanov (FLA)
  2. Aho & Zykov (CAR)
  3. Auston & Willie (TOR)
  4. Barzal & Eberle (NYI)
  5. Stamkos & Kucherov (TB)
  6. MacKinnon & Rantanen (COL) ... The Avs and Knights are also on a Home and Away and had a low scoring game on Saturday afternoon. Tonight should have some more fireworks than Saturday but the prices for everyone in this game make it tough. Look at Karlsson & Tatar on the Knights side.

  1. Drouin & Gallagher (MON) ... This is my #1 sneaky play of the day. Something about this game screams shootout.
  2. Kopitar & Brown (LAK)
  3. Eichel & Okposo (BUF)
  4. Backstrom & Burakovsky (WSH)

  1. Brent Burns (SJ)
  2. Justin Faulk (CAR) ... Monitor status again and pivot to Slavin again if he is out.
  3. Victor Hedman (TB)
  4. Keith Yandle (FLA)
  5. Morgan Rielly (TOR)
  6. Nick Leddy (NYI)
  7. Trevor Daley (DET)

Freddie Andersen (TOR) ... Way above the rest of the class today with a soft matchup at home against the Sabres. Buffalo did generate a ton of shots on Saturday against the Rangers, so that's a good sign for Freddie tonight to see decent volume.

Jonathan Quick (LAK) ... Pivot off Freddie and up to Quick to be different on FD tonight. He's $500 more and will be overlooked on the west coast. The Flames are to be without Johnny Gaudreau and the Kings should win a tonight something like 3-1.

Sneaky / Longshot

Anton Forsberg (CHI) ... Hawks are my upset of the night, but you are doing NHL DFS wrong if you don't hedge this play with Pavelski-Kane-Burns on the other side.

LINE LOCK OF THE NIGHT: Barkov-Dadanov-Bjugstad (FLA)

STUD WINGER: Nikita Kucherov (TB) ... I feel he has cooled off and will go under the radar today. Second choice is Mikko Rantanen (COL)

VALUE WINGER: Valentin Zykov (CAR)

  • Wings / Habs OVER 5.5
  • Flames / Kings UNDER 5.5
