Capitals ... The Caps went through a sleep walking stretch without a goal before waking up and coming back from the dead to beat the Bruins the other night. They got out played but as usual Ovi scored from his office at home and the Caps won it in a shootout late. Tonight they welcome in Keith Kinkaid who they destroyed last year and the Devils coming off a B2B. I like both the Caps top two lines tonight, Backstrom-Ovechkin-Smith Pelly and Kuznetsov-Oshie-Vrana. Kuznetsov has been skating well and Oshie is getting close to putting one home since his return to the ice, so I'm riding the Kuzy-Oshie-Vrana line with Carlson as the 4th man in the stack.
Update - Caps are skating Smith-Pelly with Ovi and Backstrom tonight. It's a narrative play as he is a former Devil. If you ride that narrative then you might as well play Marcus Johanson as well who returns to Washington tonight.
Panthers ... TBD on who is in net for the Habs but if it is not Price then the Panthers will be our #1 stack tonight. Barkov-Huberdeau-Bjugstad is my preference over the Trocheck-Dadanov-Malgin line.
Blues ... St. Louis is adjusting to life without Jayden Schwartz and they shouldn't have issues tonight at home against Carolina. Schenn-Tarasenko-Pietrangelo combination is a nice pricey pivot off the Bruins top line chalk tonight.
James Reimer ... Lots of goalies who I think see limited shot volume tonight, so that means I don't want to pay up and thus take the cheapest goalie I am confident will win.
Carter Hutton / Jake Allen ... TBD on the Blues starter, but I like either tonight.
Others to monitor: The Wild and Preds are playing again tonight and Dubnyk was very solid last night but monitor who starts in this game tonight as it could provide some nice value if my guy Saros starts....
LINE LOCK OF THE NIGHT: Barkov-Huberdeau-Bjugstad (Panthers)
ONE OFF STUD WINGER: Vlad Tarasenko (Blues)
ONE OFF VALUE WINGER: Danton Heinen (Bruins)
TOP DEFENSEMAN: John Carlson (Caps)
