  • Cam Talbot starting in goal for Edmonton (fine for the Ducks!)

Sunday, March 25th

Four game main slate tonight at 7pm.

This is a really interesting Sunday slate in my view. There's seven teams that are worthy of consideration to get exposure from and of the seven, there are four that I am considering getting exposure from either the top two lines, one that is a no brainer top line play, another that is a scary fade of the top line and the seventh has an illness question mark which impacts their lines.

Oh, and then there's Vancouver. Who, nobody will want to play tonight.

All that said, this is actually a spot where I think we take a large slate approach and roll with two man combo plays, but that's typically not the method of approach on a 4 game slate which brings me pause. None the less, on with the analysis.

STACK OF THE NIGHT

Ducks vs Oilers

This game screams high scoring to me and is where I want to start, but there's a question mark on Ryan Getzlaf playing.

I know the Ducks/Kings last night was just middle of the road but the Carter line did come through and McDavid continues to stock-pile his stats. The HUGE question mark in this game is Ryan Getzlaf, who missed Friday's game with the stomach flu. If Getzlaf is OUT then Adam Henrique should see time on the top line again with Rakell and Perry, but if Getzlaf is back in then Henrique makes for a nice road second line value play as a one off. The player though who stands out from this game for me is Cam Fowler. Cam has not been a great DFS play of late but he's always fared well against Edmonton as have other defenseman typically.

  • Henrique/Getzlaf - Rakell - Perry - Fowler (ANA)
  • McDavid - Nugent-Hopkins (EDM)

SECOND TIER

Bruins vs Wild

Minnesota got a huge win last night at home versus the Predators and now have another tough game with the Bruins coming in tonight. Boston is my preferred play here as Patrice Bergeron and Torey Krug both return to the lineup for the Bruins today.

  • Bergeron-Marchand-Krug (BOS+D)
  • Staal-Zucker-Suter (MIN+D)

Stars

Dallas will draw a ton of ownership tonight because they're they have the best matchup of all the home teams with Vancouver coming in. Vancouver isn't stopping anything of late and that makes the Stars value plays a good consideration tonight. Seguin will get one since he is skating with both Benn and Radulov here, but typically has the low owned multi-goal games in tough matchups, where as in the easy match-ups for the Stars they let Seguin play defensive minded and take advantage of positive matchups for their 2nd and 3rd lines. Unfortunately with all three studs on the top line, we gotta go down to the Janmark, Ritchie, Shore Line 3, but all three guys are wingers. The Stars are a weird stack for me today.

  • Seguin, Radulov, Shore, Klingberg

MAIN LINEUP FADE

Predators vs Jets

We gotta fade one of the four games tonight. This is the one I feel most comfortable fading which is a longshot consider these two have had some high scoring games this season. Juuse Saros has been great when he draws the B2B assignment and Connor Hellebuyck has been great at home on Sunday's this season for whatever reason.

CENTER AND WING COMBO'S

  1. Getzlaff & Rakell (ANA) ... Downgrade Getzlaf to Henrique if he is out.
  2. Bergeron & Marchand (BOS)
  3. McDavid & Nugent-Hopkins (EDM)
  4. Faksa & Radulov (DAL)
  5. Staal & Zucker (MIN)
  6. Sedin & Sedin (VAN) ... Pivot play against goalie who will be about 90% owned

DEFENSEMAN

  1. Cam Fowler
  2. John Klingberg
  3. Torey Krug
  4. Ryan Suter
  5. Esa Lindell - Value
  6. Brandon Montour

GOALIES

Kari Lehtonen (Stars) ... Huge favorite will draw all the ownership today.

Connor Hellebuyck (Jets) ... Upside pivot off Lehtonen

Juuse Saros (Preds) ... Same as Helley only cheaper but I dont think the Preds win here.

LINE LOCK OF THE NIGHT: Bergeron-Marchand-Pastrnak (Bruins)

STUD WINGER: Rickard Rakell (Ducks)

VALUE WINGER: Devin Shore (Stars)

TOP DEFENSEMAN: Cam Fowler
