Nine game slate tonight for the NHL

Dallas Stars .. Seguin-Janmark-Klingberg

I am going back to the well on my stack that only I had at the Live Final. Seguin was good that game, but it came after they adjusted lines and put Radulov and Benn up with him. Klingberg was the real disappointment for me but tonight he's in a great spot against the Flames and the Dallas PP has even better upside tonight. Janmark is a value/punt play so long as he starts the game on Seguin's line.

Calgary Flames ... Monahan-Gaudreau-Bennett-Hamilton

The Flames have had great success vs the Stars and this should be an up and back game for both teams. The Monahan-Gaudreau combination has been deadly on the road this year and Johnny should see similar success against Dallas that Patrik Laine had on Saturday.

Pittsburgh Penguins ... Crosby-Guentzel-Rust

Pitt is back home and rested which are two strong upside combinations. It's been the Malkin show of late, but Crosby had 5 goals in 4 games against the Devils last year -- three of which were in Pittsburgh. This is a much different Devils team, but one that is still weak on the defensive end.

VALUE / Mid Tier

The three stacks I mentioned above are definitely a little pricey tonight, so look here for some mid-range options to pair with them.

Boston ... Riley Nash-Marchand-Pastrnak

Patrice Bergeron is going to miss two weeks+ with a foot injury. This means that Riley Nash likely gets the boost to play with Marchand and Pastrnak. Huge price difference from Bergeron to Nash, so expect this to be a popular play today.

Washington ... Kuznetsov-Oshie-Connolly

The Caps defense is terrible these days. They literally need to take the approach of just trying to outscore everyone. Kuznetsov has been skating really well and also offers strong PP upside. Washington typically is bad on B2B, and will be chalk tonight, so this is not a bad spot to fade if you are going into a big field tournament.

Keep an Eye on ...

Vegas Knights ... Karlsson-Marchessault-Smith

Keep an eye on who the Kings start in goal tonight. This is a home and away back to back for these teams who had an exciting game last night in LA and the Kings stole the game 3-2 after being down early in the third 2-0. If the Kings go with Wedgewood in goal then lock in the Knights tonight as a top play. Quick was on his head last night, so they might throw him back out there tonight and try to steal the 2 game H&A...

  2. Barkov & Dadanov (FLA)
  3. Riley Nash & Marchand (BOS)
  4. Crosby & Guentzel (PIT)
  5. Malkin & Hornqvist (PIT)
  6. Pavelski & Kane (SJ) - Evander Kane makes his debut tonight. Guessing on the line combinations here.
  7. Karlsson & Marchessault (VGK)
  8. Kuznetsov & Oshie (WAS)
  9. Draisaitl & Cammalleri (EDM) - Low owned / hedge against Jones
  10. Hischier & Hall (NJD)
  11. Lindholm & Aho (CAR) - With Bergeron out, we could see the Bruins defense weaken a bit.

You will definitely want to pay up for one d-man today. I love the top 5 guys here...

  1. Erik Karlsson (OTT)
  2. John Klingberg (DAL)
  3. Dougie Hamilton (CGY)
  4. Brent Burns (SJ)
  5. John Carlson (WAS)
  6. Morgan Rielly (TOR)
  7. TJ Brodie (CGY)
  8. Cody Ceci (OTT) - Punt play
  9. John Moore (NJ) - 3k punt play on DK

Tonight is not a bad night to consider stacking goalie with your top line stack. We want the win mostly tonight, so play that correlation over the matchups themselves. That said, here are guys with matchups I don't hate.

Roberto Luongo (Florida) ... The Leafs and Panthers had a low scoring game not long ago in Toronto and with the Leafs coming off a B2B game last night in Tampa, I'll ride Luongo who has been pretty good since returning from injury. He still will face a ton of shots and that offsets some of the GA risk.

Martin Jones (Sharks) ... I hate Martin Jones. But tonight I'm playing him with the Sharks adding Kane to their lineup and drawing the lowly Oilers at home.

Devan Dubnyk (Minnesota) ... Say hello to the spot everyone will look in tournaments. The Blues aren't scoring... at... all. Back to back shutouts will do that and Dubnyk and the Wild are favored at home in a low projected game.

Marc-Andre Fleury (Golden Knights) ... Fleury in goal tonight is my sneaky late play. I think Vegas wins this game easily 4-1 after dropping one last night in L.A.

LINE LOCK OF THE NIGHT: Crosby-Guentzel-Rust (Pittsburgh)

ONE OFF STUD WINGER: Johnny Gaudreau (Calgary)

ONE OFF VALUE WINGER: Miles Wood (New Jersey)

TOP DEFENSEMAN: John Klingberg (Dallas)
