RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) Amateur qualifier Haley Moore shot a 2-over 74 on Sunday in the ANA Inspiration to tie for 67th at 6 over.

The 16-year-old Moore, from Escondido in the San Diego area, won the ANA Inspiration Champions Junior Challenge on Monday to earn the final spot in the 115-player field.

''It was just so fun,'' Moore said. ''Every day I met new people and I just had a great time. Friday was a little nerve-wracking, but I was able to get it done to make the cut. So this weekend, I just told myself go out there, have fun and just enjoy it as long as it lasts.''

The long-hitting teen was the only one of the six amateurs in the field to advance to the weekend in the major championship at Mission Hills.

''I've been getting a bunch of messages from people I don't even know,'' Moore said. ''They're just saying how proud they are of me. It's really nice.''

Moore is a junior at San Pasqual High School. She plans to play at the University of Arizona, where brother Tyler will be a freshman next season on the Wildcats' golf team.
