Spieth, Johnson together at St. Andrews

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) Jordan Spieth sets off on his quest for the British Open by playing with the guy he beat in the U.S. Open.

Spieth is in the group with Dustin Johnson, who had a 12-foot eagle putt on the 18th hole at Chambers Bay to win the U.S. Open. Instead, he three-putted for par and finished one shot behind Spieth.

Hideki Matsuyama of Japan is the third player in the group that goes off at 9:33 a.m. local time on Thursday.

Tiger Woods is two groups behind them with Louis Oosthuizen, who won at St. Andrews in 2010. Woods won the two Opens before that on the Old Course. They will be with Jason Day, who is recovering from symptoms of vertigo he suffered at the U.S. Open.
