Scott leads, McIlroy, Johnson chase at Cadillac Championship

DORAL, Fla. (AP) Adam Scott shot a 6-under 66 Friday, moving to 10 under for the tournament and giving him a two-shot lead over Rory McIlroy and defending champion Dustin Johnson at the midway point of the Cadillac Championship.

Scott made eight birdies, including three straight on holes 15, 16 and 17 to strengthen his grip on the lead.

Johnson shot 64, the best round of the day. McIlroy shot a 65 for his share of second place after two rounds, and Danny Willett was alone in fourth at 7 under.

In all, 11 players are within six shots of the lead. Phil Mickelson was up by three shots at one point Friday, going out in 32 but coming back in 40 to finish at 5 under, five shots off the pace.
