Tournament: The 80th Masters.
Dates: April 7-10.
Site: Augusta National Golf Club.
Length: 7,435 yards.
Purse: To be determined ($10 million in 2015).
Field: 90 (84 professionals, six amateurs).
Cut: Top 50 and ties, and anyone within 10 shots of the lead.
Defending champion: Jordan Spieth.
Last year: Spieth won his first major with a four-shot victory, becoming at age 21 the second-youngest Masters champion and the first wire-to-wire winner since Raymond Floyd in 1976. He set the 36-hole record at 14-under 130, and he tied the 72-hole record of 270 set by Tiger Woods in 1997.
Farewell to Watson: Tom Watson is playing the Masters for the 43rd and final time. He won in 1977 and 1981.
Grand Slam: Rory McIlroy needs a Masters victory to become only the sixth player to complete the career Grand Slam.
Key statistic: Tiger Woods in 2002 was the last No. 1 player in the world to win the Masters.
