China, Australia grab last spots in International Crown

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) Australia edged Sweden by eight points Sunday for the final spot in the LPGA Tour's eight-team UL International Crown this summer in Illinois.

China also wrapped up the seventh position for the July 21-24 event at the Merit Club outside Chicago.

South Korea, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and England were already safely in the event before the points race ended at the ANA Inspiration. Spain, the winner in the inaugural event in 2014 in Maryland, was 11th - 96 points out of the final spot.

The points are based on the combined rankings of the top four players from each country. The lineups will be decided after the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in June.
