"The Match," a historic head-to-head match play showdown between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, is set to air on DirecTV pay-per-view on Friday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. ET. While no tickets will be sold to the public, viewers can still watch the matchup for $19.99 on pay-per-view.
Mickelson, 48, and Woods, 42, have been adversaries long before their relationship softened in recent years. The two have won a combined 19 Majors and will be competing for $9 million, winner-takes-all. Woods and Mickelson will also have the chance to selectively make side-challenges during the match that could raise the stakes.
News of a potential match-play showdown between Woods and Mickelson first broke in July, but after failing to reach an agreement, the two announced that the match would take place on Thanksgiving weekend.
