Elway chooses Arizona State

Cherry Creek (Englewood, Colo.) quarterback Jack Elway, the son of Denver Broncos legend John Elway, committed to Arizona State last weekend. The senior signal caller chose the Sun Devils over the likes of LSU and Oregon.

Elway could be a sleeper recruit for Arizona State considering he's excelled despite playing in the enormous shadow of his Hall of Fame father, who's now the quarterbacks coach at Cherry Creek.

Last year, the younger Elway passed for 1,488 yards and six touchdowns and ran for seven scores. He's been even better this year in completing 112-of-197 passes for 1,677 yards, 21 touchdowns and three interceptions in eight games.
