Who is No. 1 prospect in 2025? Cooper Flagg, Cameron Boozer face off in front of NBA scouts

Recruiting sites are split over who is No. 1. Did either separate themselves at Wednesday's Peach Jam showdown?

Who is the true No. 1 high school basketball prospect in 2025?

An early morning showdown on Day 1 of Peach Jam offered a rare look at the widely regarded top two players going head-to-head. Did it show any separation between the two blue chips?

Cooper Flagg notched a near-triple double to lead his Maine United past an also-dominant Cameron Boozer and NightRydas in a highly anticipated meeting in front of scouts from at least 12 NBA teams.

Both are the consensus top-two prospects in the nation in 2025, but major recruiting outlets are torn over who is No. 1. On3 and Rivals have Flagg as the top recruit in the land, whereas ESPN and 247 Sports slot Boozer, son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, at No. 1.

The matchup took place on Day 1 of the Peach Jam on Wednesday morning. The Augusta, South Carolina-based tournament is perhaps the summer's most anticipated AAU tournament annually — and a proving ground for tomorrow's top college and professional stars.

Flagg, a 6-foot-8, 195-pound forward, finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on 7-of-18 shooting from the field, 1-of-6 from 3 and 6-of-7 from the free throw line.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Boozer finished with 22 points and 12 boards on 8-of-24 shooting. He hit two 3s and went 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Both have had headline-producing moments since the end of their sophomore high school seasons.

Flagg put up a 52-point, 12-rebound double-double in his first Nike EYBL game of the season. Playing with Columbus, Boozer backed up his No. 1 designation at Section 7 — a widely known Arizona-based tournament during the June high school period.

Neither Flagg, an incoming junior at Montverde Academy (Florida) nor Boozer, who plays high school for Columbus (Florida), have made their respective college decisions.

Flagg was named the NBPA Top 100 Camp MVP on Saturday.

Maine United beat NightRydas 73-65.
