Congratulations to Crenshaw senior Kailyn Watkins for being voted Scorebook Live’s Southern California girls basketball player of the week!

Watkins averaged an impressive 23 points over two games against Alemany and Dorsey.

Watkins received 52.25% of the vote, beating out Brentwood’s Amber Furch, who finished with 37.93%.

Emily Perez, St. Anthony: Perez scored 15 points to go along with 5 boards, 4 assists, and 2 steals in St. Anthony’s 63-50 victroy against Narbonne. 

Isuneh Brady, Cathedral Catholic: Brady had a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds to go along with 2 blocks in Cathedral Catholic’s 79-59 win over Perry. 

Parker Montgomery, Marlborough: Montgomery’s 25 points led the way for Marlborough as they defeated Yucaipa 60-34.

Brooke Demetre, Mater Dei: Demetre dropped 19 points to lead Mater Dei to a 56-30 win over Orange Lutheran. 

Vanessa DeJesus, Sierra Canyon: DeJesus nailed the game winning shot for Sierra Canyon in their 56-54 win over Windward. 

Amber Furch, Brentwood: Furch led Brentwood with 36 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 4 blocks, and a steal in a 68-62 win against Santiago. 

Laila Sanchez, Long Beach Poly: Sanchez netted 19 points to go along with 5 boards in LB Poly’s victory over Jordan. 

Aaliyah Stanton, Etiwanda: Stanton scored 25 points to go along with 3 rebounds in Etiwanda’s 68 52 win over Bishop’s. 

Rayah Marshall, Lynwood: Marshall put up a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds as well as 3 blocks in Lynwood’s 64-63 win over Bonita Vista. 

Khylee Pepe, Bishop Montgomery: Pepe drained 19 points to help Bishop Montgomery defeat Bishop Amat 79-63.

Alexis Whitfield, Chaminade: Whitfield netted 18 points and pulled in 9 boards for Chaminade in a 51-49 victory against Palisades.
