Congratulations to Long Beach Poly junior Lily Buggs for being voted Scorebook Live’s Southern California girls basketball player of the week!

Buggs averaged 12.7 ppg and 9.7 rpg for Long Beach Poly through 3 games this week.

Buggs received 71.32% of the vote, beating out Crenshaw’sAmeerah Ali, who finished with 20.4% .

Anaiyah Tu’ua, Troy: Tu’ua netted 28 points and grabbed 6 boards in Troy’s 79-38 win over Buena Park.

Angie Robles, Bishop’s: Robles put up 20 points and snagged 6 rebounds for Bishop’s against Francis Parker.

Abigail Clark, Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica: Clark neared a triple-double with 33 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals in Pacifica Christian’s win on YULA. 

Halle Sii, Chino Hills: Sii scored 23 points to go along with 2 rebounds for Chino Hills in their matchup with St. Lucys.

Leah Hudson, Glendora: Hudson led the way for Glendora as she scored 27 points in addition to 12 rebounds in their 76-45 win over Ayala. 

Charisa Thomas, Serra: Thomas finished the night with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 swats in Serra’s 65-37 win over Helix. 

Tautinei Puaina, Mira Mesa: Puaina dropped 24 points in addition to 14 rebounds and 3 blocks for Mira Mesa in their matchup with Foothills Christian. 

Clarice Akunwafo, Rolling Hills Prep: Akunwafo’s 28 points and 10 rebounds helped Rolling Hills Prep to a 79-19 win against Geffen Academy.
