SAN CLEMENTE– After getting shut out for nearly three quarters, San Clemente rallied late in the second half to defeat rival Mission Viejo 10-7. The win secured an undefeated regular season and South Coast League championship for the Tritons, who dedicated their performance to late assistant coach Joe Wood.
DL Kanious Vaughn and LB Cole Robertson led a dominant defensive effort for San Clemente that started up front. James Bohls was the star of the night on offense, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown, and also had a handful of momentous catches. Sean Harry had multiple pivotal punts, including one for 48 yards, and kicked the 26-yard game-winner as time expired.
