LAKE BALBOA -- After a 3-3 regulation, Mira Costa’s Tanner Mendelsohn scored a golden goal game-winner to take down Birmingham in the CIF-State SoCal regional championship on Saturday. For Birmingham, Diego Nava, Enrique Pineda and Anthony Miron scored in regulation and for Mira Costa Michael Crisera scored twice and Elias Kraus also put in a goal.
