LAKE BALBOA– After trailing all game, Granada Hills Charter won the fourth quarter 22-5 on Saturday to defeat Birmingham 57-50 in a critical West Valley League matchup.

Marianne Boco scored 23 points for the Highlanders, with most of them coming in the second half, to go with five rebounds and three steals. Calista Arzaga also scored nearly all her points in the second half and finished with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals, and Emma Perez had a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Janna Holley led the Patriots with 15 points. Birmingham will have a chance to even up the season series and potentially force a tie atop the West Valley League when they play at Granada on Tuesday, Feb. 8. Here's our highlight video from the game:
