SACRAMENTO– Oakland Tech shook off a slow start to defeat La Salle 39-33 on Friday for a CIF Division 3 girls basketball championship. The Bulldogs only scored five minutes in the first 10 minutes of the game, but came alive to edge out the Lancers in an intense defensive battle.

Erin Sellers had 11 points for Oakland Tech, and Sophia Askew-Goncalves had eight points and 12 rebounds. Both had two blocks as well.

Audrey Chen had a game-high 13 points and four rebounds for La Salle to go with eight rebounds and three steals. Ryann Riddle added 10 points and eight boards for the Lancers.
